Abstract

Abstract. The role of the renowned Ukrainian criminalist, Doctor of Law, Professor V. P. Bakhin, as a scientific supervisor in the selection and training of scientific personnel in criminology during his work at the National Academy of Internal Affairs is considered. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the contribution of Professor V. P. Bakhin and representatives of his scientific school to the development of criminology, highlighting the theoretical and practical significance of the dissertation research carried out under his supervision. It is noted that the dissertations of his students covered key areas of criminology, and their topics remain relevant even in the context of full-scale aggression against Ukraine. The relevance, object and subject, scientific novelty and practical significance of the dissertation research for the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences, carried out under the scientific guidance of V. P. Bakhin, are considered. The scientific novelty and practical significance of each of the considered dissertation studies of the scientific school of Professor V. P. Bakhin, which remain relevant and form the basis of modern criminalistics methodology, are determined. The scientific foresight of V. P. Bakhin in identifying the most pressing problems of criminalistics when selecting topics for scientific research, his role in the training and certification of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in criminalistics
