Mission and scope

The aim of the scientific journal «Philosophical and Methodological Problems of Law» is to disseminate scientific ideas and the results of fundamental research in the field of legal theory and methodology, to deepen understanding of the key principles of legal reality, as well as to establish the status of the philosophy of law and promote interdisciplinary interaction between law, politics, and culture.

Main tasks:

publishing the results of scientific research on development trends, fundamental methodological and philosophical issues in law, and innovations in the legal field, in compliance with international standards of publication ethics;

promoting the development of science in Ukraine by creating an open information environment for interaction between leading experts and young scientists in the field of law, ensuring open access to materials, and upholding the principles of academic integrity;

creating conditions for the publication of discussion materials through objective peer review and providing recommendations to authors on improving the textual presentation of ideas and results;

promoting the implementation of scientific research results in the practical activities of law enforcement agencies, judicial institutions, educational institutions and other institutions whose activities are related to law enforcement and crime prevention;

developing creative cooperation between scientists from various educational institutions in Ukraine and around the world.

The journal focuses on the scientific understanding of the fundamental principles of law at the intersection of philosophical, methodological, and sociocultural contexts, highlighting topical issues in law enforcement in the context of contemporary globalization challenges, the study of methodological tools in jurisprudence, the philosophical and legal aspects of state-building, as well as the discussion of the outcomes of academic debates regarding strategic directions for the development of legal doctrine and legal practice.
